Classes
Our classes work like an artist’s gym: everyone trains to hone their listening, their authentic response, their creative expression. We believe creativity is a practice. You don't become artistically strong by showing up, doing the work, taking risks, failing, trying again, and discovering something new.
The foundation of our work is the Meisner Technique, an approach to acting developed by Sanford Meisner around the simple but profound idea of living truthfully under imaginary circumstances. This practice applied to any discipline strengthens one’s artistic voice and helps create strong, unique, bold art.
Classes run on a continuous basis (like a gym), and you start where you wherever you are in the work or your career. For this reason, classes are specifically for adults over 20 years old.
Classes meet twice a week for three hours. And because growth requires doing, not just watching, every person is guaranteed to work twice in every class.
You come, you work, you play, you listen, you respond, you take risks — and you grow.
Classes run as such:
Workshops
Workshops happen on Fridays, Saturdays or Sundays, and are either a day class, or a weekend class on a specific focus (Auditioning, The Business of Acting, Costuming for History and Beyond, Headshots for a Career, Shakespeare, etc.). All currently open workshops will be listed below with date and time, as well as an option for choice on the Payments page.
